Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use MyStory, including with a keyboard only, a screen reader, zoom or high contrast. This page says what we did, what is not done yet, and how to reach us.
Contents
1.The standard and the law
This site, mystory.market, and the app, app.mystory.market, are built to the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and to Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on the WCAG guidelines, at level AA.
We design and build to WCAG 2.2 at level AA.
2.What we did
- Every page is built from headings in order and marked regions: header, navigation, content and footer.
- Every page starts with a "Skip to content" link.
- Every link and button can be reached with the keyboard, and a clear focus ring shows where you are.
- Text contrast against its background is at least 4.5:1, in light mode and in dark mode.
- The site switches to dark mode with your device setting.
- The language of every page is set: Hebrew right to left, English left to right. You can switch language from any page.
- Pages adapt to any screen width, from a phone to a desktop, and when text is enlarged.
- Motion is shortened when your device asks for reduced motion, and no content is hidden until an animation ends.
- Information is never shown by colour alone: every state also has a word.
- Images that carry information have alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
3.What is not accessible yet
- The sample store shown inside a browser or phone frame is a live illustration. It cannot be operated with a keyboard or a screen reader; what it shows is also written in the text beside it.
- The app, app.mystory.market, is in private beta, and its accessibility review is not finished.
- Card processors' payment pages and other third-party services are outside our control.
- [Findings from the accessibility audit: to be added here after the audit].
4.Accessibility audit
The site was checked on [Audit date] by [Auditor or company], with [Method: manual testing with a keyboard and screen readers, and automated testing].
5.Stores built on MyStory
Every store built on MyStory gets an accessibility statement page of its own, with room for the business's details. Stores are built to the same rules, but the store's owners are responsible for its content: alternative text for photos, product descriptions and the business's own statement.
If you run into a problem in a particular store, contact its owners. You can also write to us, and we will help them fix it.
